'Clash Royale' 2016 Latest News & Update: New Upgrade To Focus On Tournaments, Tweaks, Bug Fixes, Nerfs; More Coming Soon

Supercell's highly anticipated update for September will be rolling out very soon and it promises to enhance to overall gaming experience from fixing known bugs to balancing mechanics. With a lot of things under its sleeve, "Clash Royale" will be much better to play since the overall gameplay experience will be modified in a lot of ways.

The BitBag reported that the focus of this new update will be on the tournaments, wherein fans can expect big changes and will be an ongoing process. That only means that those big changes will not stop with just one update, but this just marks the beginning of many changes in the future. Supercell is also making Legendary cards more valuable with tweaks and balancing modifications in the cards which make them more obtainable.

Supercell has also announced that the buffs and nerfs are based on their analysis on game data and game play. For example, very few players have been using Rage, Lightning or Mirror spells so it could be expected that the cost of these spells could be reduced. Another major change revealed by the developer is that the Bomber and Giant troops have been nerfed as their damage has been reduced by five percent in the latest update.

Touch Arcade also reports that the long overdue mute function will be rolling out very soon which will give the players to mute opponents. While a player would still be able to see his or her opponent trying to communicate, he or she would not be able to see the specific emote. Other than that, the latest update brings an all new tournament mode wherein getting 12 wins would reward a player with the top prize.

The latest update also introduced four new cards, but only one has been revealed for now, which is the Mega Minion. As for the rest of the other new cards, one will be revealed for every two weeks when the new update rolls out. Players on the official forum have given out mixed views about this latest update to "Clash Royale" and while some are disappointed, they are assured of long term benefits. Supercell has already announced earlier that this update will not make every player happy, but this is their way of working on bugs in the game.
