Obviously, we’re all waiting for more DLC to arrive for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC and PS3 alike.
But with the wonders of modding, PC players at least have the welcome distraction of mods to keep the feelings of utter frustration directed at Bethesda at bay.
One of the most intriguing mods out there is “Super Skrim Bros.,” which adds an all new kingdom into the world of Skyrim. Namely, the infamuous Mushroom Kingdom.
The mod trades in the wintery wonderland of Tamriel’s Skyrim province for the lush green of the Mushroom Kingdom. Of course the mod offers up weapons consistent with classic Mario styled weapons, like dual hammers, giant sledges, and even a fire staff so the brothers can chuck fireballs at whatever of Bowser’s legions get in their way. Players do away with Nord snacks like cabbage and mead for traditional Mario powerups, like fire flowers, invincibility stars, and all manner of mushrooms.
Similarly, gone are dragon priests, frost trolls, and the various draugrs, replaced with goombas and koopa troopas, complete with powers over fire, ice, and lightning. A recent update also added in ninji stars and pokey the cactus as new enemies, a new world, made some fixes and overhauls, and more.
It’s pretty self-explanatory, but it really must be seen to be believed. Check out the trailers below!
