Just a fortnight after Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus invasion, fans are looking up ahead in the future of this high-end smartphones. Rumors about iPhone 8 are circulating the internet and predictions are up.
Apple is known for revamps in naming their smartphones in the past. Each series will usually have at least three tiers like iPhone 5, 5c and 5s. Currently, the freshest from production iPhone 7 has two prefixes in the series, the plain 7 and the better 7 Plus. So what is the argument behind leaping directly into iPhone 8 instead of upgraded 7s?
The answer to this million-dollar question resides in the fact that 2017 coincides with the tenth year anniversary of Apple smartphones. Since it is given that anniversaries are marked with big bangs, a leap from the series is most likely. Presenting a fresh and new-sounding iPhone 8 then becomes a logical next step for Apple instead of lesser impact of connecting into existing one, Tech Radar said.
Now according to leaks, iPhone 8 is likely to launch in first week of Sept 2017 and invade the market about a month after. This is an educated guess because Apple sticks to Septembers in making their major product introductions. Further, the schedule of their events are tightly placed between the 7th to 12th of the said month. So if no major setbacks will happen in 2017, then predictions are spot on correct.
Well again, iPhone 8 is a thing of the future so details will remain murky until then. But as a bonus, Independent suspects that Apple is working to trash its iconic home button to accommodate cleaner looks and larger displays.
Also, there are early guesses about potential upgrades in iPhone 8 display. Several observers agree that Apple will take a drastic change from flat to curved display. It is also possible that AMOLED display is going to be the next option for future iPhones. Then lastly, rumor said that iPhone 8 will sport a 5.8 inches display.
