"Limitless" fans were clearly upset after CBS confirmed the cancellation of the show. It was reported that "Limitless" Season 2 was being shopped around to major outlets but nothing positive came out from that as well. There have been whispers and speculations regarding the show but nothing was confirmed until now. So what is the real score? "Limitless" showrunner finally breaks his silence and revealed the final fate of "Limitless" Season 2.

A fan asked "Limitless" showrunner Craig Sweeny on Twitter regarding the cancellation of the show. The "Limitless" showrunner Craig Sweeny didn't beat around the bush and answered the fan's question straightforwardly. "Sorry, but yes. 100% gone," he replied. So there you have it folks, "Limitless" is definitely a goner. This confirmation from the the show's showrunner himself also means that there is officially no future for "Limitless" Season 2.

When Netflix started streaming "Limitless" Season 1 to their service, fans were given hope that they will hear more good news for the show. Many were hoping that the outlet may see the potential from the show and pick "Limitless" Season 2 up. Obviously, that turned out to be just wishful thinking. It appears like the storyline of "Limitless" is way too complex for Netflix that they are not ready to gamble for "Limitless" Season 2.

When CBS dropped "Limitless," fans have never lost their hope that "Limitless" Season 2 will be picked up by other outlets. Fans have been aggressively sharing their thoughts and frustrations in the comment sections of all the GameNGuide articles. One fan even started an online petition for "Limitless" Season 2 to be picked up. The initial goal was just to reach 3,000 signatures, but after GamenGuide shared the petition site it has now reached over 27,000 supporters.
