It is well known that to stream Netflix on your beloved Xbox 360, you'll need both a Netflix subscription along with an Xbox Live subscription to get the ball rolling. Not so anymore, for this weekend only, Xbox 360 owners can stream Netflix content without being a Gold Member.
It's a real pity one is forced to rely on having an Xbox Live Gold subscription to experience Netflix. The PS3 might not be the best console in the world, but stuff like Netflix, Hulu Plus, and others does not require a PS+ subscription to be useful. If Microsoft truly wants the next Xbox to be the de facto entertainment system in the living room this year, then some of these policies need to change.
Consumers are not always blind, eventually they will see the error before their very eyes and will no doubt proceed to rectify it by moving over to a different platform. These things happen time and time again, and will always happen until the end of time.
