‘No Man’s Sky’ Latest News & Update: Hello Games Woes Continue With False Advertising Charges

Hello Games continues to weather the storm aimed at “No Man’s Sky” with yet another problem headed its way. The issue comes from the UK gaming community who claim that faulty advertising misled them to buy into the ambitious space exploration game.

Gamers in the UK have filed a complaint with the UK Advertising Standards Authority who will look into the advertising and marketing campaign of “No Man’s Sky”. According to Eurogamer, ASA received several complaints from gamers who pointed out references rendered by game listings on Steam as misleading.

Complainants singled out screenshots and videos for “No Man’s Sky” showing various features like creatures, ships, and structures that didn’t actually appear in the space exploration game. The detailed list of the complaints was jotted down via Reddit.

Another blow to “No Man’s Sky”

The latest dish is apparently another black eye for Hello Games who have been trying to pick up the pieces since spiraling from its game debut. Bugs and recurring game play have resulted in a meager number of active players on “No Man’s Sky” since debuting last August.

In a previous post, Sony president Shuhei Yoshida did give his insights on the plight of “No Man’s Sky”, hitting out at the poor PR strategy and absence of a key person to handle that responsibility. Despite its sputtering run, Yoshida believes that all is not lost and Hello Games can still turn things around.

Sean Murray and his team of developers are working on releasing free content updates for “No Man’s Sky”, something that has yet to materialize. The longer they wait, the smaller the player base gets plus more woes from disappointed gamers.

The last time we checked, the number of players has dwindled to a meager 2,000 though it could be lesser given the longer time it takes Hello Games to roll out the said patch for “No Man’s Sky”.
