NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Greg Monroe Bench Role Sends Mixed Signals

NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Greg Monroe Bench Role Sends Mixed Signals

Depending on how hoop junkies follow the NBA, the planned move of Jason Kidd will likely send mixed signals. With NBA training camp underway, Greg Monroe will be coming off the bench in what is explained to be a normal tactic by head coach Jason Kidd.

Monroe will not be the only starter to come off the bench. Michael Carter-Williams will be doing so as well and likely other planned starters for the Bucks this coming season. The practice is the same thing that Kidd did when he was still the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, CBS sports reported.

What happens when the regular season starts?

The tactic has seen nothing from the ordinary only that involves Greg Monroe who has been frequently mentioned in potential NBA trade deals. Kidd will be giving Rashad Vaughn and Miles Plumlee a chance to prove themselves, FastBreak reported.

Then again, it could also be a gauge to see who could potentially help out the Bucks in the regular season as a starter. This could be employed with or without Greg Monroe as Kidd tries to thresh out the best from his bench.

Greg Monroe continues to sit on pins and needles

Moving forward, there is no doubt that Greg Monroe will be hounded by the malicious trade rumors. No team has so far come forward to bite but a deal could materialize at any point from now until February 2017, the NBA trade deadline.

Other teams are wary of the current contract of Greg Monroe. He signed a three-year max deal last season which is not less than $50 million. Monroe did put up decent numbers last season but was somehow lacking the efficiency that Milwaukee was expecting.

That said, the Bucks continue to wait on offers for Greg Monroe. As of this writing nothing credible has come up so the 26-year-old big man will just have to go with the flow for now.
