We will give you tips on how to catch on of the rarest Pokemons in "Pokemon GO" and probably the most popular Pokemon in the real world as well, Pikachu. First off, after you have signed up for the game, you'd have the option to pick and catch one Pokemon out of the three starter Pokemons in "Pokemon GO." Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur.
Now you might be wondering, where is Pikachu? Well, luckily, Pikachu is just around the corner in "Pokemon GO." In "Pokemon Yellow", Pokemon trainers also had the option to pick starter Pokemons. However in "Pokemon Yellow", you'll have four options.
But here is the catch, players need or is required by "Pokemon Yellow" to travel on the other side of the Kanto Region with Pikachu already being with them all along. Niantic seems to have applied the same formula here in "Pokemon GO."
Going back to "Pokemon GO," at the start of the game, Professor Willow will gives you instructions to pick and catch your first Pokemon and choose between Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. We would advise you to ignore these three Pokemons if you want to get a Pikachu. After four or five times that you've left Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur without attempting to catch them, Pikcahu will appear.
How To Evolve Your Pikachu
Pikachu is quite a rare Pokemon to find, it may depend on your area if there are frequent spawns but this tip mostly applies to places that Pikachu is not that common. Better assign Pikachu as your buddy Pokemon and just for only 1 kilometer per candy, you'll be able to evolve your Pikachu in no time. One cool about having Pikachu as your buddy is after 10 kilometers, instead of sitting beside you, it will sit on your shoulder instead.
It will take 50 Pikachu candies to have it finally evolve into a Raichu, now to maximize your Raichu's evolution it's ideal moveset would be Spark as it's Basic Attack and Thunder as its Charge Attack. Raichu has 6 different moveset combinations but the one mentioned above is the moveset that can cause most damage.
