Obviously, Melissa McCarthy is not a slender woman and she is not aiming to be one of those skinny Hollywood actresses. But, she is is hoping to be a better version of herself and she's trying to do something with her weight for her health's sake. Melissa McCarthy weight loss definitely surprised everyone when people started to notice her slimmer figure. So, how did she do it?

According to Foods 4 Better Health, Melissa McCarthy weight loss was achieved as the actress' metabolism was boosted up by a low-carb, hight-protein diet. This popular diet includes Atkins, Paleo, Zone, and ketogenic diets. The 46-year-old actress resorted to this diet because it made a more long-lasting result in Melissa McCarthy weight loss.

 

Melissa McCarthy starts her day with four scrambled egg whites and grilled chicken. She will also have a cup of veggies and a spinach, apple, chia seeds and kale smoothie. Around 11 am, Melissa McCarthy consumes a wild cod and steamed broccoli for her healthy snack. For lunch, Melissa McCarthy will have grilled chicken breast, a blend of quinoa, carrots, celery, and red peppers. She also makes sure to drink a cup of green tea during her snack and lunch.

Melissa McCarthy will only have a light dinner that consists of steamed veggies, grass-fed beed and a half avocado. If ever she gets a little hungry, she is allowed to eat some raw almonds and ground turkey to fill her up. Melissa McCarthy also credits her weight loss to a high intensity interval training that helps her sweat out all the excess fat. Melissa McCarthy already lost 75 pounds and she's committed to lose more.
