Chinese tech giant Xiaomi threatens big names in smartphone race as the company unveils Xiaomi Mi 5s and its upgraded variant, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus. Both phones boast hardware at par with more expensive rivals.
Expect power and speed in Xiaomi Mi 5s who has Snapdragon 821 processor and 4 GB of memory. This new beaut is a major upgrade from predecessor Mi 5 who made name as the cheaper alternative to high-end smartphones. It came with an even better variant Mi 5s Plus who has an option for speed junky 6 GB RAM packed through Snapdragon 821 Soc.
Going into details of this sisters, Xiaomi Mi 5s has a very capable 5.15-inch 1080 HD display with pressure sensitive 3D touch similar to Apple iPhones. In comparison, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus doesn't have 3D touch although its display is a bit wider at 5.7-inch 1080 HD. A dual 13 MP cameras will compliment these nice displays, Tech Radar India reported.
Another nice thing about Xiaomi Mi 5s series is battery ensured to pack additional juice for heavy use. The plain 5s comes with standard 3200mAh battery but the real deal is with Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus carrying a 3800mAh, according to Anand Tech.
Now for those who use their smartphones for net browsing a lot, they will be happy to know that Xiaomi Mi 5s and Plus can connect from 2G signals up to 4G LTE connections. These are no slouch either because both have Qualcomm X12 integrated LTE.
As primary features escalate for Xiaomi Mi 5s and Plus, it's time to focus a bit on benchmarking figures they yield. Both are a step higher than predecessor Mi 5 Pro who hit the market earlier this year. Under the hood of these two are Snapdragon 821 at 2.15GHz speed for Mi 5s while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus pegs at 2.34GHz.
