iPhone 8 rumor mill has already started to roll. It is said that the iPhone 7 will roll out in matte and glossy black and will feature a curved OLED display and edge to edge screen. The iPhone 8 is also rumored to have a stainless steel frame and an all-glass body.
It was just last month that the iPhone 7 was introduced at the Sept. 7 Apple event and already, reports have already turned to the imminent arrival of the iPhone 8. KGI Securities Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo sparked the speculation that the giant tech company will focus on curved glass on the back and front of the iPhone 8.
Meanwhile, iPhone 7 sales revealed that matte and gloss finishes in black are the top options. Rumor has it that the two color options will also be featured in the iPhone 8. The Apple device is also expected to feature a curved OLED display under 2.5D glass as well as promote the use of stainless steel for a premium iPhone range.
The iPhone 8 is also believed to roll out sans much of the dead bezel space from the front of the device and the headphone jack which was also absent in the iPhone 7. The phone is also rumored to have a home button incorporated in the screen itself that can go as far as to boast an edge to edge screen.
Meanwhile, the development for the iPhone 8 has reportedly commenced in Israel, Business Insider reported. The Israeli office in Herzliya reportedly has approximately 800 employees. The Apple office is said to be an R&D facility for testing and developing chips, cameras, storage components and wireless technologies.
The iPhone 8 is expected to be a major overhaul of its predecessors. Kuo reportedly revealed key design changes that may be expected on the next Apple handset, Apple Insider reported. The device is said to have a stainless steel case instead of aluminum. Additionally, a new glossy glass chassis is also believed to be included which is expected to be more scratch-resistant.
