WWE Latest Rumors & Update: Vince McMahon Set To Claim TNA Library

TNA is still believed to be undergoing financial problems though it has managed to move on for some reason. Money has been reportedly coming from an unknown source and such was the reason behind the recent pay-per-view held recently.

Moving forward, it is a fact that various groups are interested in TNA. Vince McMahon has been mentioned as one of the possible suitors though their interest has been limited to a certain degree.

The WWE has a history of buying into rival brands like WCW and ECW in the past. But in the case of TNA Wrestling, it seems that all Vince McMahon is interested in is the TNA library.

WWE bid won’t exceed $2.5 million

As reported by our sister site iSports Times, the WWE will shell out nothing more than $2.5 million for TNA. For that amount, it is obvious that the budget would not be enough to claim the whole promotion.

But then again, McMahon may not be interested in buying TNA as a whole. Rather, the interest is on the content that TNA currently has which may eventually be added to the WWE Network.

TNA could use the money

If this were the case, the setup between the WWE and TNA could seem a bit odd but beneficial to the troubled promotion. TNA could get a big shot in the arm with the money involved and retain the TNA brand altogether, Wrestlingnews.co reported.

For now, the deal seems more than likely to materialize though it seems more of a temporary reprieve for TNA for now. The fact is that if that $2.5 million dish is true, all that could vanish with a couple of shows or pay-per-views unless TNA is able to find other ways to place its head above water. Other interested parties to acquire TNA include Billy Corgan and the Sinclair Broadcasting Group.
