‘Friday The 13th: The Game' News & Update: See Release Date; New Story Campaign

The latest update on the horror flick game "Friday The 13th: The Game" is the pending delay of its release. According to some reports, the game is delayed for 2017 to make way for few updates on the game. Particularly, the inclusion of input from fans, interestingly, these are not just inputs, but a few fan requested features that the developer wanted to consider

Some of these requests include the Tommy Jarvis character to be playable, AI controlled bots and Crystal Lake's Packanack Lodge to be a playable character. If you think about it, these few requested features for "Friday the 13th: The Game" aren't hopeless. In fact, they play significant roles in connecting "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" and "A New Beginning and Jason Lives."

In a statement released by Wes Kelter, co-founder of Gun Media, he said "We want everyone to be assured that coming to our decision to delay was no easy matter, but we believe that the positives far outweigh the negatives." According to the Polygon, Friday The 13th started its development after getting its target funding from Kickstarter. Since then, the game has received massive support from fans.

The support however fell short that the game was unable to include the single-player mode of the game. To be able to start with the single-player gameplay, Gun Media must be able to put out at least $1.6 million to make it possible. Currently, the plans for "Friday The 13th: The Game" include beta release that can include 4 keys of friends this coming end of October.

Also, in early 2017, Gun Media will launch the Packanack Lodge as the third playable map and Multiplayer release with Tommy Jarvis. Finally, the summer of 2017 will feature the highly anticipated single player release and the AI bots.
