‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Spawned Critters May No Longer Be Visible When Driving

“Pokemon Go” continues to experience an erratic number of active players into the augmented reality game even though Niantic continues to do its best in the form of updates. Unfortunately, not all updates that the company has been rolling out have been sitting well with gamers, and this one tied up with traveling hunters is likely to draw a howl.

While Niantic has discouraged playing “Pokemon Go” while driving, there are some who are merely passengers. The game monitors movement which alerts players of ‘going too fast’ if they move beyond 25 miles per hour. Aside from the prompts, players will now no longer see new Pokemon spawns on the map, Pokemon Go Hub reported.

Depending on how one looks at it, this move by Niantic could be seen as both good and bad. Good in the sense that it may eventually help prevent accidents from gamers who continue to play the game even when behind the wheel. It could also be bad in the sense that it deprives players who are merely using vehicles to get from one point to another.

The angle tied up to the no spawns on “Pokemon Go” may be a glitch with Niantic yet to confirm if any tweaks were made recently, Forbes reported. Then again, Niantic does not need to announce all updates –especially this one which is obviously aimed to save folks the trouble of incurring road accidents.

If true, the recent change for “Pokemon Go” is the latest dish that Niantic has done to place some order on how to play the game fairly and safety. Previously, it was the use of the reCaptcha which was eventually turned off due to some bugs.

Captchas popped up last week to determine if bots or humans were actually behind the mobile devices playing “Pokemon Go”. The feature has been taken out though it could return at some point in the future, depending on Niantic.
