Both Apple and Microsoft remained silent when it comes to the release of the MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft Surface Book 2. However, a lot of people are already speculating that the two giant tech companies will reveal their newest devices this month of October.
The two latest upcoming laptops are being pitted already against each other as early as now. However, instead of a close match, one appears to be winning over the other.
Both Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft's Surface Book 2 are expected to be thinner than their predecessors according to a report. However, the latter's display, which is removable, is more likely to have an edge. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is designed to be used as either a laptop or a tablet.
Users are more likely to consider working on a detachable screen as it provides more convenience and efficiency. The MacBook Pro 2016, on the other hand, does not have that kind of feature.
More so, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is also leading when it comes to things under the hood. As reported by Recode, the latest laptop of Microsoft is expected to pack an Intel 7th generation chip, the Intel Core i5 as well as the Core i7 CPUs. Apart from that, the battery life is also expected to last up to 14 hours.
The MacBook Pro 2016, on the other hand, is said to pack the Intel 6th generation chip and Intel Core M. However, the battery life can only last up to 10 hours. Game-wise, the MacBook Pro 2016 will have more improved graphics than its previous versions, incorporating AMD's Polaris 11 GPU, running on Mac OS Sierra.
The Microsoft Surface Book 2, on the other hand, will also boast powerful graphics in portable gaming capability. Moreover, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will include the Surface Pen for free already while the MacBook Pro 2016's Apple Pen is likely to be purchased separately.
