‘Mass Effect 4’ Will Offer ‘Fresh And New’ Content

People seem to be in a forgiving mood towards "Mass Effect 3" after the lastest DLC, the Citadel, erased some of the lingering hurt feelings caused by the orginal ending of the game. That's a good thing because the hype train for "Mass Effect 4" is begining to edge out of the station.

As of now, the next “Mass Effect” game is already believed to be in production although general manager Aaryn Flynn has only said that the studio is still in the planning stages for the next “ME” game in the series, as well as a brand new IP set in fictional universe.

During a presentation at the just concluded PAX East, Casey Hudson, BioWare executive producer, said the next entry in the “Mass Effect” franchise will offer "fresh and new" content.

While the game will be chiefly developed by BioWare Montreal, Hudson will serve as the game's executive producer.

"We are starting to get ready to develop another Mass Effect game and it's going to be a new thing," Hudson said. "We want to be able to give fans an opportunity to get back into the world with these things you've come to know and love about the Mass Effect experience, but start something fresh and new; a new way for you to explore the whole universe in Mass Effect."

Additionally, Hudson also confirmed that the upcoming “Mass Effect” movie, which is being made by Legendary Pictures, is still in production. Release date and casting details remain unclear.

"Hopefully it should be seen as a good thing," Hudson said, according to Gamespot. "Because what we're looking at are, I think, the right things to make sure it's going to be great. It's not just going to be a movie. It's going to be really special."
