"Reign" Season 4 will feature another exciting yet, perilous adventure of Mary's life in her journey back home to her birth country, Scotland. Queen Mary who is now a widow will have to take care of herself and her country's future.
Adelaide Kane who plays Mary has revealed her new self in "Reign" Season 4. She will learn to be more independent, self-sufficient, and stronger, all because she has her people and kingdom to rule, Entertainment Weekly reports.
It is reported that one of Mary's greatest enemy in "Reign" Season 4 is her cousin Elizabeth, who controls England. In a previous report by Gamenguide, Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth of England have shown their dislikes for one another. Queen Mary hated Elizabeth for executing Lola after an assassination attempt on the queen.

Mary had sworn to defeat Elizabeth, which forced her to asked the help of Gideon to take down Elizabeth, "Reign" Season 3. Historically, Elizabeth and Mary are deadly rivals, because Elizabeth was seen as the illegitimate heir to the English throne. Instead, Mary Stuart, was recognized by the Catholics as the rightful heir.

Reports have claimed that Mary will not be victorious in defeating Elizabeth, instead, she awaits her death in "Reign" Season 4. Her marriage to Lord Darnely and Bothwell will not help Marry into securing her throne. Elizabeth will eventually take down Mary by beheading her.
With all these claims, killing Mary in "Reign" Season 4 might be a signal to the viewers that this will be the last season for the TV series. Moreover, the episodes for the fourth season has been reduced from the original 22 episodes for the Season 1 and 2, and 18 episodes for Season 3.
However, these reports need to be verified still. In the meantime, fans will be happy to know that "Reign" Season 4 will definitely come back on screens on January 2017.
