‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Latest News & Update: Miss Martian Revealed In Latest Teaser, Lynda Carter Appears As Madam President

"Supergirl" has been airing on the CW for a couple of weeks now and it has delivered much more than viewers had in mind with the introduction of some characters that everyone wanted to see. Although viewers will have to say goodbye to Tyler Hoechlin's Superman temporarily, the show has filled in with other loveable characters which include Snapper Carr and Lena Luthor.

The Mary Sue reports that on the upcoming "Supergirl Season 2" episode titled "Welcome to Earth," viewers will see more character added to the roster which would include Sharon Leal as Miss Martian. This character would share a very meaningful connection to Martian Manhunter who is a powerful superhero played by David Harewood in the series.

Former Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, will also be making her first appearance on "Supergirl" Season 2 as the President of the United States in Supergirl's Earth. It is to be noted, however, that Supergirl does not yet share her universe with the rest of the Arrowverse, so Lynda Carter's President of the United States might not be the same for the rest of them.

In another "Supergirl" Season 2 teaser, Supergirl and Madam President's first meeting is seen, and Supergirl is gushing in excitement to meet the President of the United States. How their relationship will turn out in the near future will be seen by viewers as the show moves on.

We Got This Covered reports that in the video, Martian Manhunter pays a visit in a random bar in National City which seems to be a hotspot for aliens when he comes across a young woman who he finds familiar. Nowhere in the "Supergirl" Season 2 teaser is the young woman's identity revealed, but the network itself has already confirmed that that young woman is no other than Miss Martian.

In "Supergirl" Season 2, Miss Martian, like Supergirl, is not amongst some of the more popular DC heroes but she is portrayed in the comic books as a young white woman who travelled to Earth to follow after Martian Manhunter. She, however, ends up with an identity crisis later on as she struggles with her past as her race is not trusted on Earth. This struggle leads her to a journey to find herself and her purpose until she becomes closely associated with the Teen Titans and joins them for a while.
