‘Pokemon Go’ News & Update: Halloween In-Game Event Coming; Scariest Creatures Featured [Watch Trailer]

"Pokemon Go" will feature a Halloween in-game event from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, 2016. Niantic Labs and The Pokemon Company announced the inaugural "Pokemon Go" event, which will feature some of the scariest creatures in the game.

Pokemon.com revealed that during the "Pokemon" Halloween in-game event, several spooky monsters will become more available, such as Golbat, Zubat, Drowzee, Gastly, Gengar, Hypno and Haunter. "Pokemon Go" players can also earn more Pokemon Candy throughout the event.

Every captured Pokemon will yield six Candies, which is double the regular amount. Also, "Pokemon Go" trainers who transfer a Pokemon to the professor will get two Candies, instead of one.

The Buddy Pokemon will also provide Candy four times faster than the normal rate. Hatching eggs will yield twice as many Candy than usual, so "Pokemon Go" trainers are advised to walk and catch all Pokemon possible, as well as stock up on Candies during the Halloween in-game event. Players who have yet to capture and upgrade the seven Halloween Pokemon will get their chance when these spawn at a faster rate.

According to Tatsuo Nomura, senior product manager at Niantic, it has been incredible watching people explore their neighborhoods and catch wild Pokemon all summer. They wished to introduce a trick-or-treat activity in their own special way in "Pokemon Go" by providing players a chance to capture more Pokemon and earn more Candy during Halloween.

Android Police reported that a new "Pokemon Go" update will roll out soon, bringing new improvements and fixes. "Pokemon Go" update v0.43.3 is not a hugepatch, but adds more adjustments to the game.

The "Pokemon Go" patch will feature minor text fixes. The low battery indicator has been added for "Pokemon Go" Plus. Professor Willow realized that eggs have different patterns, based on the distance required to hatch these. Finally, Pokemon type icons have been added to the information screen for each Pokemon.

"Pokemon Go" has yet to introduce a more efficient in-game tracker. However, players will still be able to catch the Halloween Pokemon with much ease during the in-game Halloween event.
