"Overwatch" players may soon see an improved Symmetra and Torb in Blizzard's popular multiplayer first-person shooter video game. Latest reports teased of enhancements to the said game characters, as well as a planned eSports league that may soon be introduced to the gaming title.
The "Overwatch" hero Symmetra may be one of the game characters in need of an update. Many players have been requesting Blizzard to overhaul the said hero to make her a more viable game character to use during team battles. It appears that game developers may soon overhaul the said character, as well as another hero.
In a recent forum blogpost, the game's director Jeff Kaplan gave a lengthy explanation about hero balancing and other issues, PC Gamer reported. He also made mention of development activities that involve "Overwatch" heroes Symmetra and Torb. Game developers are already looking at potential enhancements that they could make for the said two characters.
Kaplan did not disclose their plans for the Symmetra and Torb updates although he commented that they wanted to make both heroes more enjoyable to play. Avoiding frustrating Symmetra and Torb gameplay is also part of their goal, following player feedback that labeled that two characters useless in a battle.
At this time, it is still unclear if Blizzard will be able to deploy its improvements for Symmetra and Torb in 2016. Previous reports have indicated that game developers may need more time to tweak the said two heroes.
In other news, Activision Blizzard may soon launch an "Overwatch" eSports league. The company's CEO Bobby Kotick shared during a Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit that they are looking to organize a dedicated online gaming competition for the said gaming title. The teams will feature a mix of both endemic and profession sports team owners, The Street quoted Kotick as saying.
However, the said gaming is still in its early planning and development stages. Kotick added, "What we're doing is creating professional content. So we're organizing around teams and leagues."
