World Series 2016 Latest News & Updates: Indians Unleash Their Bullpen: Kluber, Bauer, and Tomlin To Start Games 1-3

The Cleveland Indians line up their best starters for Games 1-3 of the 2016 World Series against the Chicago Cubs. Corey Kluber,Trevor Bauer, and Josh Tomlin will go head to head with the Cubs' Jon Lester, Jake Arrieta and Kyle Hendricks.

The Cubs ended the regular season as the hottest team in baseball but the Indians came firing on all cylinders during the postseason. The Cubs went 7-3 through the NLCS while the Indians went 7-1, losing only to the Blue Jays.

First things first, Kluber will go up against Lester. Kluber allowed only two runs and 13 hits in 18 1/3 innings. Meanwhile, Lester has been Phenomenal for the Cubs. In his three starts in the postseason, he has only allowed two runs in in over 21 innings. It will be a battle between Kluber's breaking ball versus Lester's curveball.

In Game 2, it will be Bauer's turn to step up to the mound. It will be interesting to see how his finger will hold after it got injured in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Jays. He says his finger's fine and that he won't be wearing any bandages around it in Game 2. Indians Manager Terry Francona doesn't seem to think Bauer's finger will be a factor. "I don't think that finger is going to be the reason he wins or loses," said Francona.

Josh Tomlin will go up against Kyle Hendricks in Game 3. It will be an emotional rollercoaster for Tomlin because it will be the first time he will see his father he became paralyzed back in August.

So far the Indians have only announced the three as the starting pitchers for this series. If they do not pick a fourth starter, Kluber will be forced to start with little rest and projected to pitch Games 4 and 7.
