'Gemini Rue' Available On iPhone And iPad Now

Joshua Nuernberger and Wadjet Eye Games' cyberpunk noir-ish graphic adventure game "Gemini Rue" is now available on iOS.

Originally launched in 2011 on Windows PC, the game was released to rave reviews and was formerly known as "Boryokudan Rue." The cult-classic sci-fi noir point-and-click adventure game is currently available for $3.99 on iOS but that's discounted for a short while and will cost $4.99 after two weeks.

The iOS version comes with a few improvements as it is extensively optimized and overhauled for touch screen play on iPhones and iPads. It has "point and tap" controls and is fully voiced by professional actors.

The new version features larger-in-game icons and text. It also sports a redesigned combat system and also has a hotspot finder to minimize pixel-hunting in addition to original game's optional developer commentary.

"Gemini Rue" runs on iPhone 3GS and above, iPod touch 3G and above, and all iPad models including iPad Mini.

The description of the game on iTunes reads:

"A sci-fi noir adventure in the tradition of "Blade Runner" and "Beneath a Steel Sky." Azriel Odin, ex-assassin, arrives on the rain-drenched planet of Barracus. When things go horribly wrong, he can only seek help from the very criminals he used to work for.

Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a man called Delta-Six wakes up in a hospital with no memory. Without knowing where to turn or who to trust, he vows to escape before he loses his identity completely.

As fate brings these two closer together, we discover a world where life is cheap, identities are bought and sold, and a quest for redemption can change the fate of a whole galaxy."
