Just a few months before "Underworld 5," it looks like the paranormal movie franchise will be facing a big problem. Reports say that Theo James has prioritized the production of "Divergent 4" over "Underworld 5" so he will not be as hands-on as usual on the promotional trail.
With the release of the newest "Underworld 5" trailer via Collider signaling the start of a three-month worldwide promotional trek for the "Underworld 5" cast, Theo James is said to be having difficulty in dealing with possible scheduling conflicts with his job for marketing "Underworld 5" and the production of "Divergent 4." James instead chose "Divergent 4" as it is the last movie in the series anyway and the franchise brought him the biggest break of his career.
After it was reported on The Hollywood Reporter that "Divergent 4" will be a TV movie instead of being a theatrical release, Theo James is said to have reached out to the production company of "Underworld 5" that his commitments to the dystopian franchise may have a conflict with the early January release of the vampire series' fifth entry. Executives were said to be angry with the decision, starting rumors that he will be fired but ultimately, they decided he was too valuable for the "Underworld" series.
You can watch "Underworld 5" when it hits theaters in both the United States and Canada on Friday, January 6, 2017. The release date of "Divergent 4," however, is still undecided as Lionsgate is still trying to look for a TV network where the sequel will be shown.
