'Jumanji' Remake Release Date, News & Update: Kevin Hart Falls Prey To The Rock's Halloween Prank [Watch]

Halloween's around and it's pretty sure that there are some stars, despite their busy schedules, who would want to feel the vibe even while filming. Perhaps, Hollywood stars would also like to loosen up during a tedious shooting day  and what could be better than playing Halloween pranks to your fellow actors! That's what wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson did with one of his "Jumanji" co-stars Kevin Hart.

The "Jumanji" team were filming in the Hawaiian jungle when Johnson deliberately threw a fake, furry spider on to Hart during a take where both actors were lying on the ground. Obviously, Hart experienced a "clear-cut, bad case of heebie-jeebies" that gave him one hell of a scare, Screenrant reports. Amused with what he did with Hart, Johnson took his pranking to the next level when he uploaded the video on his Instagram account. It technically showed Hart's humongous fear of nature.

According to Maxim, Hart's reaction is "classic and worth it for the laugh." It was so epic that the "Jumanji" star Johnson has touched Hart's "squeamishness about creepy-crawly things."

The remake of "Jumanji," which was originally released in 1995, would not be a replication of the original, rather, there would a lot of alterations when it comes to the quality of visual effects. Johnson, who will be playing Dr. Smolder Bravestone, quipped that the movie will be a tribute to the late Robin Williams.

The new "Jumanji" storyline will revolve around four teenagers who play the game while in detention and, just like the original, get sucked into the world of Jumanji. Johnson clarified that although "Jumanji" revolves around a board game, it will not be a remake; rather, it is going to be a continuation of the adventure 21 years later.

Directed by Jake Kasdan, "Jumanji" is set to hit the cinemas on July 28, 2017. It is written by Chris McKenna, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, and Erik Sommers. It stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, Madison Iseman and Rhys Darby.
