Sherlock season 4 rumors have started again after the premier of Benedict Cumberbatch's new movie, Doctor Strange. In a recent interview, he was again asked about the Tom Hiddleston joining Sherlock rumor on screen.
In the last Comic-Con last July, the fans went crazy after Sherlock stars Mark Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes) and Amanda Abbington (Mary Morstan) posed for a photo with the rumored third brother, Tom Hiddleston. It was noted in the Season 3 finale of the series, that Mycraft hinted about having another brother. This made the wait for Sherlock season 4 much more exciting for the fans.
Responding to all the hype, BBC produced one of their best responses to their fans by fusing the clips that featured Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock with Tom Hiddleston acting in The Night Manager. When the video was released, the clamor for a "Hiddlebatch" tandem for Sherlock season 4 went on an all time high.
According to sources, Sherlock fans have been waiting for this surprise ever since the news came out. They are predicting that the third brother, Sherrinford, will make an appearance in the third episode of Sherlock season 4 and will be played by Tom Hiddleston.
During his interview with the Radio times, the Sherlock season 4 actor, was asked if he enjoyed working with Tom. He playfully replied if they were referring to the crossover of his movie Doctor Strange to Thor Ragnarok. He continued to say that indeed, he enjoyed working with Hiddleston but as Loki and not as Sherrinford.
When Benedict appeared to be reluctant to divulge other clues about Sherlock season 4, he was asked straight on whether Tom Hiddleston joining their team was a possibility. He merely replied that it is only pure speculation.
The premiere of the much awaited Sherlock season 4, is set to air on Jan 1, 2017 on the BBC. Fans should not lose hope though because the Hiddlebatch tandem might push through. BBC, with a mix of trolling and granting wishes, already gave everyone a teaser by releasing that fused video. You never know, Tom Hiddleston joining Sherlock on his adventures could become a reality.
