'Grimm' Season 6 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: NBC Ignoring Online Fan Petition For Show Renewal, Gets Ready For Spinoff Series?
Fans are not yet giving up on "Grimm" Season 6, which is set to be the show's final (and drastically shortened) season. Some have already started an online petition to save the series from cancellation.
But is it possible that NBC has other plans after "Grimm" Season 6? Is the network planning a spin-off series that will focus on some beloved Wesen characters?
NBC Has No Comment On Fan Petition For 'Grimm' Season 6 Renewal, Network Planning Spin-Off Series?
Fans have been urging more people to sign the Change.org petition asking for the show's renewal after "Grimm" Season 6. However, it looks like the network is choosing to ignore the petition because there are already plans for a spin-off series.
GamenGuide has previously reported on speculations that NBC could be working on a spin-off series as a follow-up to "Grimm" Season 6. It is possible that the new show will focus on Wesen couple Monroe and Rosalee and their soon-to-be-born hybrid baby.
It certainly sounds like an excellent idea for some fans who believe that a spin-off series revolving around the spice shop would be a great way to introduce more Wesen characters. Fans are also undoubtedly interested in meeting Monroe and Rosalee's Blutbad/Fuchsbau baby, who could be just as powerful as Adalind's children. So does this mean NBC would rather work on a spinoff rather than renew "Grimm" Season 6?
Could 'Grimm' Season 6 Spin-Off Series Replace Show's Possible Renewal On NBC?
There is no confirmation yet from NBC whether "Grimm" Season 6 will be renewed. Likewise, it is still unclear whether a spin-off series will be made to replace the show. In the meantime, fans should keep their fingers crossed in hopes that the online petition will change NBC's plans for the show.
"Grimm" Season 6 will premiere on NBC on January 6, 2017. Keep checking GamenGuide for more updates on the show's renewal or spin-off series.
