'Minecraft Education' Latest News & Update: Microsoft Charges Students $5 Per Year, Available In 50 Countries Worldwide

Microsoft launches a full version of "Minecraft: Education Edition" which is now available in 50 countries worldwide. Students were charge from $1 to $5 per year while it also requires 365 Education license.

In this Technology Era, teachers must find a way in order to reach their students as well. Microsoft answered to this issue in a way of "Minecraft: Education Edition." The software helped teachers a lot as it engages the children into playing while learning. According to reports, Minecraft can be a distracting game, but it can also be a powerful learning tool.

It has been years since schools have been using "Minecraft: Education Edition" in the classroom and it proves to be effective especially now that it aims to simplify a lot of administrative tasks while also adding new tricks. The software made the teachers'  task easier as it can command students to teleport to different locations and point of views. 

SMH reported that the "Minecraft: Education Edition" is only available to schools, libraries, museums and participants in a nationally recognized home school organizations. Students were now focused on technologies wherein this software could them learn a lot.

Meanwhile, Life Hacker wrote that "Minecraft: Education Edition" is generally available in Australia. The main lesson for the software is that it teaches the students how to code. It has built-in lesson plans with number of different subjects specifically for K-12 teachers.

Its Classroom Mode gives teachers a map view of the "Minecraft" world that makes them monitor its students during the gameplay.
