The Samsung Gear S3 is the biggest rival of Apple Watch 2. The Gear S3 has already been released in Europe but Samsung has not launched it in the US yet. The South Korean tech giant already confirmed that the Gear S3 will be launched in US sometime this month.

The Samsung Gear S3's two different variants, the Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier, were listed in Best Buy with a "Coming Soon" tag. According to a report from 9to5google, there are still no pre-order promos available. But, consumers can expect that pre-orders will be available in the days to come. Best Buy's price for both Smasung Gear S3 models lands at $349.

Reports say that the Samsung Gear S3 is already available for pre-order in the UK, Germany and Canada but US would have to wait till mid-November. The new Samsung smartwatch also has new and improved features that are expected to surpass that Apple Watch 2.

According to Trusted Reviews, the Samsung Gear S3 runs on a custom-built Tizen OS. The Gear S3 also features a circular 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution. The wearable device is also powered by the new Samsung's own Exynos 7270 chip. It also has a 4GB of storage, 768MB of RAM. The Samsung Gear S3 also has an improved 380mAh battery that supports wireless charging.

The Samsung Gear S3 also sports its super accurate GPS (Global Positioning System) and Heart Rate Monitor. But the Gear S3 will only be compatible some selected smartphones. On top on all of that the Gear S3 smartwatches feature water-resistant design, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC (Near Field Communication) technology connectivity. NFC enables two different electronic devices to establish communication by bringing them within 4cm of each other.
