It looks like Super League fans are in high spirits upon learning that the League of Legends competitions is conquering the movie theatres in certain cities across the United States. "City Champs and City Rec" is coming to theaters near you.

Super League Gaming in partnership with Riot Games announced it yesterday with Super League Gaming's new offerings; "City Champs" and "City Rec" offer gamers two different ways to play League together with friends, offering high stakes competition among cities or local and social pick-up style games, according to Gamasutra.

Super League Gaming CEO Ann Hand said: "We want to give the passionate players and communities surrounding League of Legends a new way to share their fervor with each other. Our vision for 'City Champs' and 'City Rec' is to give those players a compelling city-to-city competition that offers fun, inspiring and energetic environments where gamers team up to win."

"City Champs" will set cities against each other for bragging rights in a high stake contest. A chance to play live pickup games with friends or even make new ones in their own neighbourhood is offered by "City Rec".

The first of rounds presents head-to-head competition between the inaugural teams such as Miami Menace, Chicago Force, Los Angeles Shockwaves and Dallas Dynamite whereas additional cities will be revealed by next year. Super League Gaming is working personally with various theatre chains in the country which includes Cinemark USA, Inc. building one of a kind in-person gaming for gamers across the country to experience exceptional gaming.

"We are pleased to partner again with Super League Gaming to expand the in-theatre gaming initiative and are eager for the 'City Champs' and 'City Rec' offerings. Cinemark leads the industry with in-theatre gaming and is commonly recognized as the gaming theatre circuit, where players go to have a social and communal gaming experience," said Rob Carmony, EVP Innovation for Cinemark.

"City Champs" players must be 16 years old and above and at least level 30. All players for both "City Rec" and "City Champs" experience League Unlocked which is Riot's program that unlocks every champion, a variety of skins and elevated Influencer Points (IP) and Experience Points (XP) earnings.

Super League Gaming will review individual player sign-ups and chosen players will be invited to compete on each team. It will run a round robin-style tournament once the team compositions are set through which the winning team is awarded the City Champs title.

After the City Champs rollout, all skin levels players will be invited to take part in City Rec. Players are encouraged to learn more and sign up at Super League's website.
