'Starcraft 2' Latest News & Updates: Check The Biggest Revelation During BlizzCon; Exciting New Game Content

BlizzCon was held on Friday, Nov. 4 and during its opening, there were tons of revelations; one of them is the latest content of "Starcraft 2."

The developer announced its special bundle, the "War Chest", dubbed a "virtual treasure map." This bundle grants players a new content as they start to play, according to Game Spot. The more the players play Blizzard's RTS, the more they earn new content.

According to the source, the "War Chest" will have its own season with the unique for each one. Blizzard is also looking forward to host two seasons connected to a major eSports a year.

What to expect from War Chest

There will be faction-specific skins, such as the Primal Zerg, Tal'darim, and Terran mercenaries. Each season, there will be digital comics. Other details will be unveiled in 2017.

There will be a new commander on "Starcraft 2." The infested part Zerg, part Terran Alexi Stukov will return. He will be bringing Siege Tanks that are equipped with tentacles.

The two new maps on "Starcraft 2" are planned for cooperative play, according to the announcement. The first map is called "Minter Evacuation", a planet that has been invaded by infested units. Players need to evacuate the stranded miners.

The second map is called "Dead of Night" which is said to be a resurrection of "Left2Die." "Left2Die" was released in 2011.

In other related news, Blizzard teamed up with Google for a project wherein AIs play "Starcraft", TechCrunch reports. In a video, it shows the comparison of military of zerglings during a real game (with players involved) and a scene where zerglings were controlled by AI.

"Starcraft" requires high-level strategy in order to destroy tanks. Usually, 20 and 100 zerglings that attack 20-siege tanks die without killing any tanks.

Zerglings can destroy more tanks unless a player controls them perfectly and avoids the splash. However, an AI can do that job, too.
