Nintendo NX Switch: Console To Be Powered By NVIDIA GPU; Possible Release Date Lands On March 2017

After the grand reveal of Nintendo Switch last month, developers hinted new features that would make the console much more interesting.  Aside from it being the first portable gaming device, it probably would save Nintendo's long standing struggle to get back on top of the gaming industry.

According to Express Co UK, the NX will ship with a 6.2-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen that will support multi-finger gestures. As per publication, Switch will be able to handle mobile games due to its interface and will have the ability to run 3DS and Wii U games, even though Nintendo are yet to confirm this.

Nintendo Switch will support Micro SDXC cards up to 128 GB in size and might limit its storage options by ditching the external drive. The Nintendo NX project will feature USB-C ports instead of the usual proprietary cable. This probably is Nintendo's way of prolonging the battery life giving users more charging options.

NVIDIA confirmed that Nintendo NX is powered by the custom Tegra Processor that includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the world's top performing GeForce gaming graphics card. Its revamped engine, new libraries, advanced gaming tools and new gaming APIs bring forth lightweight and fast gaming to the masses. The NX introduced in the second half of October allows gamers to play in both single and multiplayer games.

There are several reports suggesting that the super-power console may hit the price range of $260 to $299. This was after President Tatsumi Kimishima hinted about Nintendo NX's price during a recent conference call.

Recently, a tweet from a known video game blogger Laura Kate Dale suggests the release date of the console that will possibly happen on March 17. Nintendo released a statement saying that it will reveal details about the console at a presentation that will happen in Jan 13.
