Troma's Lloyd Kaufman Takes It To The AVGN

He may have a new game on the horizon, but the Angry Video Game Nerd isn't slowing down yet. In the latest retro review, the nerd goes over the videogames based on the 80's hero of his hometown.

It's an interesting time for the Nerd, as this review marks the first time he's joined by another indie director, Troma Entertainment's own Lloyd Kaufman. The two East coast icons play a game of defense and offense over what is arguably Troma's biggest property, the Toxic Avenger, and the eco-friendly games the mopped avenger has inspired. All three of 'em...

It's one of the Nerd's best episodes yet, as the quick witted Kaufman has a retort for just about every one of the Nerd's grievances. Even the editor wasn't prepared for Kaufman's humor, as the Nerd's stifled laughter can be heard at damn near every one of Kaufman's snarky retorts.

Having played the Genesis game myself (and wasting a weekend doing it, thank you very much), Kaufman's points seem almost...well, logical, which is something coming from a man who once made a movie featuring a mutated penis (Tromeo and Juliet, look it up).

Like many of the Nerd's catalog of reviews, it's best left for an older audience, but watch on, and appreciate a day when you didn't have to rely on the local mom n' pop video store to get your weekend kicks...

Not bad for the big 111 Mr. Rolfe, not bad at all...
