Call of Duty: Ghosts Teaser Light on Gameplay, Heavy on Masks [TRAILER]

Following the official confirmation of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Activision was quick to provide a trailer for the new game to get shooter fans salivating. However, for what's no doubt going to be a huge game, it's not exactly what we were hoping for. Instead of guns n' glory, the trailer plays more like something from the History Channel, giving us a rundown of various masked warriors with some dramatic narration. See for yourself below.

The only information we truly know about the game at this point is coming from a recent press release from Activision, and it's even lighter on details than the trailer. Here are the key points:

- it's under development by Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward
- it will feature "an entirely new story, setting and cast of characters," all par for the course, but kind of blows the Simon Riley theory out of the water
- it's powered by a "new, next generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series for the next generation." The most recent COD game, Treyarch's Black Ops 2, ran on a modified version of the IW engine.
- pre-orders are now available for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 at various retailers, despite that we've seen nothing of the game. GameStop is offering a two-sided poster and a Black Ops 2 weapon skin as pre-order bonuses.
- the game officially launches for those systems on Nov. 5th
