A recent Instagram post of actor Ian Harding may have hinted at his character Ezra’s probable wedding to Aria (Lucy Hale) when “Pretty Little Liars” returns for the second half of its finale Season 7. In the midseason finale, the fate of their relationship was left up in the air.
“Pretty Little Liars” fans were ecstatic when Ezra proposed to Aria. The couple’s engagement bliss was short-lived however when Ezra’s ex-girlfriend Nicole (Rebecca Breeds) showed up again. She was kidnapped while volunteering in South America by revolutionaries and she was presumed to be already dead.
In the first half of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 7 however, Ezra and Aria discovered that Nicole was still alive. Ezra reunited with Nicole and to the fans’ disappointment, his future with Aria was put in jeopardy.
Fans of “Pretty Little Liars” were surely delighted when they saw the Instagram post of Harding that hinted that he and Aria are going to get married after all. Glamour reports that a closer look at the photo reveals that Hale is all decked out in a wedding dress. The actress also sported a very bridal looking hairdo with a white tulle peeking from behind her head.
Although Hale had a jacket draped over what she was wearing, fans went on to speculate what she could be wearing underneath the jacket specially with what looked like a sparkly white cloth being seen from beneath the jacket. But, even if Aria was indeed wearing a wedding gown, it could also be for a dream sequence in “Pretty Little Liars” and not the real thing. It could also be someone else’s wedding since the show’s creator I. Marlene King confirmed in TV Guide that there will be two weddings happening on the show’s return.
Incidentally, King posted a farewell message to the fans also via Instagram which she sent on the show’s final day of filming. She called “Pretty Little Liars” her home away from home for the last seven years.
King revealed that all the five “liars” will be shot on the very last scene just before she calls out “cut” for the last time in the series. “Pretty Little Liars” Season 7 will return in spring of 2017.
