Gamers have been complaining about the performance of Bethesda's "Dishonored 2" on PC. The game reviews on Steam shows that users complained about low framerates, stuttering, laggy mouse controls and other flaws.

Turning down the settings as recommended by Bethesda could do the trick, according to PC Gamer. Generally, users should avoid using Alt-Tab when playing; re-launch the game once the performance glitch occurs after using Alt-tab and any background applications running must be turned off while playing.

For video settings, the resolution must be lowered to 1440p in the instance of having high-end GPU ( GTX 1070/1080 or equivalent) to fix the problem with "Dishonored 2". For large framerate fluctuations, the V-Sync should be kept activated and for framerate under 30 fps, the "Adaptive Resolution" must be adjusted between minimum (50 percent) and default value (75 percent).

For advanced settings, using the "Auto" presets should adjust the visual settings without impacting the framerate. If the performance issues stays the same even after using "Auto" presets, deactivating the "TXAA Anti-Aliasing" and/or lowering the texture details can help.

PC Gamer also advises to build around an i5-6600K and GTX1070, easily manages 2560x1440, 60 fps, at high/very high settings if running on a mid-range rig. Phil's home system and ensure that video drivers are installed in the PC.

The series takes place in the fictional Empire of the Isles with the majority of "Dishonored 2" set in the coastal city of Karnaca and is set fifteen years after the events of the first game. After Empress Emily Kaldwin is deposed by an "otherworldly usurper", the player may choose between playing as either Emily or her bodyguard and father Corvo Attano as they attempt to reclaim the throne.
