"Madam Secretary" Season 3 is due for its winter finale episode with Tea Leoni and Tim Daly's partnership garnering high rating from viewers. However, in spite of its successful airing, the series is faced with an uncertain future. Succeeding episodes after the winter break are still put on hold , while season 4 is still not decided.
"Madam Secretary" Season 3 will continue with the unconventional exploits of the US Secretary of State Elizabeth Adams McCord (Tea Leoni) in episode 7, Tectonic Shift. As the show comes back on November 20, 2016, viewers will have the biggest experience on the small screen of McCord's wit put into action.
According to Spoilertv, "Madam Secretary" Season 3 will depict a destructive earthquake that put Venezuela on the brink of anarchy. Coming to the rescue is the US Secretary who has to immediately take action against the power struggle created by the Venezuelan president's son.

Additionally, McCord will have to act quickly to ensure the release of the international team of volunteers who were captured by the power grabber. On the other hand, Henry McCord will continue on his activities at the background in the US as his wife is running the affairs of the South American country.
It is not just about the McCord's in "Madam Secretary" Season 3, episode 7, TVguide reported. In the meantime, Elizabeth's brother Will (Eric Stoltz) is faced with the dilemma whether to serve in Venezuela as a volunteer medical doctor or just stay at the Reed Medical Center. He is trying to save his marriage, which is on the edge of falling apart.
"Madam Secretary" Season 3 has continued to air as an American political drama on primetime in the CBS network. On its season 2 airing, the show got a tremendous average of more than 10 million viewers. However, the viewership had dwindled in season 3 with only 9.2 million viewers on its premiere. With these figures, it is up to CBS to decide on the series renewal or cancellation in season 4.
