'Designated Survivor' Season 1 News & Update: 10 Million Viewers On Premiere, Kiefer Sutherland Optimistic, Three Intriguing Episodes Coming Before Winter Break

"Designated Survivor" Season 1 has gathered an enormous viewership of 10 million on its premiere, a figure that espouses optimism for a season 2. Kiefer Sutherland excitement of the show's success created ripples of optimism for a Season 2 coming up in 2017.

A flashback on the previous episode of "Designated Survivor" Season 1 titled "The Interrogation", Kirkman had to face an unexpected challenge. He has to quickly respond to a chaotic situation in the White House. He did a Congress election to put the judicial body in order.

"Designated Survivor" Season 1 never stops on its inquiry on previous incidents. Hanna Wells (Maggie Q) continue on discovering leads to the annihilating Capitol bombing incident.

"Designated Survivor" Season 1 is being relived on screen by seasoned stars including Natascha McElhone who is playing the character of Firs Lady Alex Kirkman. Meanwhile, other stars of the series are Tanner Buchanan who plays Leo Kirkman and Kal Penn as Seth Wright.

"Designated Survivor" Season 1 will have a break after the showing of the Episodes 8 and 9 in November 16, 30 and December 7. It will be back for the showing of the remaining 13 episodes in early 2017.
