No More Google+ Games In The Future: Will Get The Boot On Behalf Of Google Play Games On June 30

Google has announced that the games on Google’s social network – Google+ – will be shutting down starting June 30. The decision comes as part of a switch to a new game development platform, known as Google Play Games service.

"If you would like to continue playing a particular game, contact the game's developer to find out if there's a new destination site for the game," Google says in a recent posting related to the issue, and that some of the game pages on Google+ already have links “to an alternative site where you can continue to play the game.”

As far as paid games, and customers who apply for them, are concerned, Google says that some of the games will be migrating data to an alternative destination site where the players can continue to use their unused or leftover credits.

Other games, however, are also offering a grace period in which players can use any available credits before the game is completely shutdown.

The decision came just after Google unveiled Google Play, the company’s new game development platform, during the first day of the Google I/O developers conference in San Francisco.

The cross-platform game service, as reported, will offer a number of new developer features, including the ability to sync gaming activity between devices and save game progress on Google's servers.
