"Reign" Season 4 is still is a long way from its premiere date, but fans are now expecting new developments on the series. It is reported that Torrance Coomb's character, Bash is expected to return for the next season.
Reports are claiming that the role of Bash in "Reign" Season 4 is essential in the maintaining Mary's connection to her old life. It is said that Bash will help Mary in killing Lord Darnely. As previously reported by Gamenguide, Bash arrives in Scotland to save Mary from being assassinated by Elizabeth.
Furthermore, when Mary knew of Lord Darnely's ulterior motive, she connives with Bash to kill him. It is reported that Mary will eventually plot Lord Darnely's demise. Insiders also reported that with Lord Darnely's death, Elizabeth seeks revenge by assassinating Bash in "Reign" Season 4.

The rivalry between the Queen of Scotland and Queen of England will further escalate in the next season. It is reported that "Reign" Season 4 will also reveal the vulnerability of Elizabeth, which will be used by Mary to defeat her.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, "Reign" Season 4 will feature a stronger Mary, able, and self-sufficient. Mary needs to survive because she is the hope of her people, and her kingdom. There are people plotting for her demise, but she is resilient.
According to reports, the production team is now currently working on a bigger storyline for a possible renewal of "Reign" Season 5. Insiders also claimed that the renewal for season 5 greatly depends on the rating result of season 4.
Though these reports are possibly true, the production team has yet to give their comments. In the meantime, "Reign" Season 4 will come back May of 2017.
