CW will not be cancelling "The Originals", even though there is no confirmed airdate for "The Originals" Season 4. Creator of the show Julie Plec even hinted that fans of the show may actually find "The Vampire Diaries" characters gracing their screen as some "TVD" characters might be moving to "The Originals".
It was recently announced that season 8 of "The Vampire Diaries" will be its last season. Usually fans are able to watch "TVD" and "The Originals" simultaneously, but CW made changes in its lineup and the latter was moved to midseason instead of its usual fall schedule. The number of episodes for "The Originals" Season 4 also went from 22 to just 13.
The changed led fans to believe that "The Originals" Season 4 will be the last we will see of Klaus Mikaelson and his family. Christian Times reports that CW moved the show in order for it to dominate their timeslot. The fall schedule of CW already has well-watched shows such as "Arrow", "Supergirl" and "The Flash". Moving "The Originals" season 4 might be a good thing for the series in terms of viewership.
Meanwhile, for fans of "TVD" who are sad about the show ending, series creator tells Digital Spy that they might find some of their favorite characters on "The Originals" Season 4. "In fact, there was a character that I was thinking about killing [on Vampire Diaries] and I reconsidered because they could have a life on the other show," she said.
It seems that whoever will survive the final season of "The Vampire Diaries" will show up on "The Originals" Season 4. Dare we hope that Caroline will appear and help in the saving of the Mikaelson family?
