iPad Mini 2 is said to sport a faster processor, the latest OS and overall better graphics than the new Amazon Fire HD 8. However, the Apple tablet is also more expensive. This is reportedly due to the increased storage on the device.
The iPad Mini 2 sports a 7.9 inch screen with full App Store and iTunes, iMessage, iCloud and FaceTime. The device also features 32GB storage, iSight, FaceTime HD Cameras and a Retina display. The device is available for $269 but WalMart Black Friday Deals are selling the tablet for $199, Forbes reported.
The iPad Mini 2 is equipped with the Apple A7 Processor, said to offer four times better graphics performance than the Amazon Fire HD 8, 3DMark and GFXBench reported. The device also has three times the retina display resolution of the Fire HD 8 removing all pixels that may be seen on the Fire HD 8. Moreover, while the Amazon tablet comes with a standard 16GB, the Apple tablet sports 32GB.
Furthermore, Apple offers a one year warranty for the iPad Mini 2 while the Fire HD 8 only has a 90-day warranty. The latter also has the backdated version of Android while the latest iOS 10 is on the iPad. On the other hand, the iPad is also more expensive than the Fire tablet which only costs $59.99 on Amazon Black Friday deals.
Meanwhile, after the iPad Mini 2 was launched, three new revolutionary iPads are slated to launch in March 2017. The bezel-free iPads will reportedly come in 9.7, 12.9 and the all new 10.9 inch model. Several analysts from Barclays research noted sources within Apple's Asian supply chain, MacRumors reported.
The iPad Mini 2 successors will reportedly include a 10.9 inch model with a borderless design. The device is also speculated to remove the Home Button.
