‘Reign’ Season 4 Air Date, News & Update: New Casts Revealed; Elizabeth’s Last Attempt To Assassinate Mary; Adelaide Replaced In Season 5?

With its confirmed renewal, "Reign" Season 4 is expected to return on the mainstream early next year. Now, new reports are claiming that the next season will reveal Elizabeth's last attempt to assassinate Mary.

As previously reported by Gamenguide, Elizabeth played by Rachel Skarten becomes the greatest threat to Mary's life and loved ones. Bash, played by Torrance Coombs, is reportedly coming back in "Reign" Season 4 to save Mary from being assassinated by her cousin.

According to reports, the Queen of England will use all her power in her last attempt to devise Mary's downfall. "Reign" Season 4 will be a deadly confrontation between the two monarchs, as Mary would not give up her throne.

Insiders have professed the production team is leaning towards the historical event of Mary's life, to avoid criticisms on the inaccuracies of the plot in "Reign". Hence, season 4 might incline towards the victory of Elizabeth.

"Reign" Season 4 will ultimately illustrate the greatest rivalry of the two strong, and fearless queens. However, as all story has an end, the assassination of Mary might be a signal that Adelaide Kane will also be leaving the show.

It is reported that "Reign" Season 5 will be a complete turnover of casts, to feature the new reign of other monarchs in history. Season 3 has already taken several main casts, and new casts are expected to join the upcoming season. Catherine's daughter Leesa is known to wreak havoc will be introduced in season 4, TV Line reports.
