When Cinema Blend reported that Nina Dobrev will be leaving the vampire romance a year ago, fans of her love team with Ian Somerhalder were devastated. But it looks like "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will be the season that will finally bring back troves of fans back to the show. It has been reported that Dobrev will be flying to Atlanta right after her promotional duties for "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" in January to film a few episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.
Back when Nina Dobrev was announced to be in negotiations to star in "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" via the Hollywood Reporter, "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 producer Julie Plec has already made a deal with her and Ian Somerhalder. The deal entails that she will have to fly right after the movie is released to film her scenes with him and the other cast members of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.
You can watch "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 every Friday, 8 pm ET on the CW. On the other hand, "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" will hit North American theaters on Friday, January 20, 2017.
