The hit horror-thriller movie, Don't Breathe, made a successful surprise this year, as it grossed 152 million dollars with just a $9.9 million production budget.
The film revolves among Alex (Dylan Minnette), Rocky (Jane Levy) and Money (Daniel Zovatto), the three felons in Detroit who lives by breaking into homes. The story began as they broke into the house of an unsuspicious blind man which is played by Stephen Lang. Unfortunately, these three mistakenly undertakes a well-off blind man will be an easy target for robbery but he did everything to spoil the plans of the three.
It gathered positive praises and reviews from the critics and film viewers. This Hollywood-acclaimed movie is directed by Fede Alvarez.
Cinema Blend talked to producer Sam Raimi and Director Fede Alvarez regarding the film, and they both have made a possible plot that they strongly believe will take apart from the out-of-date sequels.
"Right now, yeah, Don't Breathe 2 is something we definitely want to do. The challenge is obvious- we just don't want to do the same movie again, slap a "2" on it. We'll feel so embarrassed if we do that" says Alvarez. "We don't want to make a sequel just because we can" he added.
Producer Sam Raimi then shared that shared, "It's only the greatest idea for a sequel that I've ever heard! I'm not kidding!"
The film producer also mentioned the possibility that the Sony executives will not like their vision on the sequel. "I don't think (Sony are) going to like it at all! They're going to freak out when they find out that's what you're thinking" he added.
Alvarez is set to make the follow up to the movie The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, with the sequel title, The Girl in the Spider's Web. But after this, he revealed that he's already planning for the sequel to the hit horror movie. Sony is not formally giving the go signal for the second instalment of the film.
