Ultra high 4K resolution video is the next big thing in video games, and everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. Next-gen consoles from both Sony and Microsoft have been upgraded in the middle of their generation primarily to support 4K with the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One S. Games are getting patches to support 4K, and "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" is one more game that'll be available to play in the highest of resolutions.
"Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" brings back the original "Darksiders: Wrath of War" with a lot of visual improvements. The game sees you play as War, the first Horseman of the Apocalypse, as he battles all the evil minions of Hell after demons defeated angels in a holy war, which you allegedly started. War has a number of awesome, destructive abilities that he can use to plow through all the enemies in the battlefield.
According to Gematsu, "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" is going to include native 1080p rendering for consoles, while PC and PS4 Pro will be able to run the game in 4K. You're going to need an HD TV with 4K capabilities in order to see the full 4K resolution, but you'll probably be able to notice graphic improvements in a regular HD TV. In fact, the texture resolutions have been doubled and the visual renderings have been improved and reworked, plus the game will run in smooth 60 fps. Even if you don't have a 4K-ready TV, the game will still look pretty for you.
"Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week, November 22, while it will drop for PC on November 29.
