'Law & Order: SVU' Donald Trump Inspired Episode Is Put On Hold; Episode about Rich Politician Accused Of Sexual Assault

“Law & Order: SVU” is known for making their episodes loosely based on the current events of the country. One of the episodes they were planning to air last October was based on Donald Trump. However, the air date of the episode was moved to November 17. As the rescheduled air date comes near, the episode is again put on hold but this time, next year with no specific date and month.

The episode is titled “Unstoppable” and centers on a rich politician, who is currently running for a seat in the government, is being accused of sexual assault by several women. His political ambition collapses which will be the climax of the “Law & Order: SVU” episode. According to reports, the first reschedule was decided as Trump coincidentally is facing similar charges in real life. It can be remembered that leaked audio recording of him and a host was exposed on TV. The two were heard bragging about an alleged sexual assault.

The second time the “Law & Order: SVU” episode is rescheduled was due to Trump winning the presidency. It was not explained how the airing of the episode would affect Trump’s presidency but it must be for a good reason. Particularly now that the topic is very sensitive and have caused countless violent cases all throughout the country. Airing an episode that could be misunderstood may bring bad influence to its viewers rather than encouraging everyone to work together.

But it looks like it wasn’t really about Trump’s presidency that “Law & Order: SVU” episode was again rescheduled. Other reports state that the episode was put on hold as the World Series will take over their timeslot. They cannot push the rest of the episodes forward to make room for “Unstoppable” episode so they just decided to move it next year.

“Law & Order: SVU” airs every Wednesday on NBC.
