"Emerald City" Season 1 will jumpstart with big surprises for its fans as it comes to the small screen with two episodes on January 6, 2017. Vincent D'Onofrio, who is an alum of Law & Order & Marvel's Daredevil will join the cast as the mysterious head of the fictional city of Oz.
According to Gamenguide, "Emerald City" Season 1 will chronicle the adventures of Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) when she was transported into the mystical city of Oz. Based on the 14 - chapter Oz books of L. Frank Baum's, Dorothy with casts Gerran Howell and Oliver Jackson - Cohen will bring to life the 1939 "Wizard of Oz" characters.
"Emerald City" Season 1 will kick off with the 20-year old Dorothy searching for her birth mother in the Midwest of America. The legendary city is featured in a modern day enchanted era but still characterized by darkness and magic. Dorothy is destined to become the great warrior who will take control of the magical kingdoms.

In a report by TVLine, D'Onofrio will star as the Wizard of Oz in "Emerald City" Season 1. The series, which has been ordered for 10 episodes will portray the actor as the leader who relies on science and magic.

"Emerald City" Season 1, which will relived the 1976 musical Oz will bring people to the land of their dreams.
