Actress Jennifer Lawrence dons a white swimsuit with netting on the stomach in a swim scene for the movie “Passenger.” She swims in the spaceship’s large pool, but the water in the pool started to rise due to lack of gravity and forms a huge, spherical liquid prison.
In the "Passenger" film clip for the Morton Tykdum movie, Lawrence (Aurora Lane) tried to leave the sphere but failed, while another current of pool water is heading toward her at the end of the clip, CinemaBlend reported. A rougher cut of that scene was shown in early 2016 at CinemaCon.
Difficult Scene To Watch
The entertainment website warned moviegoers who are giddy about space travel, loss of gravity, swimming and other dangers associated with space that the swimming pool scene is one which they would have a hard time watching. "Passenger" lead actress Jennifer Lawrence, in a guest appearance last week on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” with co-actor Chris Pratt was thankful to him for helping her with the stunt work needed for the sci-fi film.
The "Passenger" actress explained, “He had to do everything because I suffer from paranoia mixed with delusions. So I thought that if I were in a harness I would never be able to bear children. So he took care of all the harness work. He did all of it,” Daily Mail quoted Jennifer Lawrence. Chris Pratt admitted to DeGeneres that it was difficult to achieve the illusion of zero gravity while wearing a 74-pound spacesuit.
Expect A Marketing Blitz
The first trailer of “Passenger” was released in September, three months before its scheduled Dec. 21 showing. The entertainment website finds the marketing campaign for the film still “in its slower, earlier phases” which would likely mean by Thanksgiving, there would be Black Friday blitz style blitz of ads to push the interstellar journey of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt to cinema enthusiasts.
