WWE 2016 Latest News & Update: CM Punk Return Possible But In the Far Future

CM Punk has been rarely heard of these days though his name has still be tied up to the WWE rumor mill. Punk was last seen at UFC 203 in September where he lost handily to Mickey Gall.

Despite the fact that he may never set foot in the Octagon again, a return to the WWE is also far from happening. The wounds of his strained relationship with Vince McMahon and company are still up in the air and legal battles are expected to happen soon.

The series of events have placed his future in dire straits though Punk doesn’t seem to mind. There is no update on what he plans to do next though he made it clear that he is not giving up on his UFC dream.

It may take a lot for him to be reconsidered by Dana White, who hinted after UFC 203 that Punk may never get another chance, Forbes reported. Punk was manhandled by Gall despite drawing admiration from fans on how he handled his lopsided defeat.

As far as his WWE return is concerned, Punk addressed it as simple (and lighthearted) as he could via Twitter. He is unlikely to return in the near future where a return could categorically make him a failure if ever he did, Wrestlingnews.co reported.

Regardless, time heals all wounds and Punk’s row with the WWE is no exception. The WWE has been known to mend ties and proof of that is the case of Goldberg. The former WCW/WWE champion will make his one-and-done deal at Survivor Series this Sunday – possibly his last match before being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

At 38, CM Punk has all the time in the world to kill. If Goldberg was able to return at 49, one can imagine the allowance the former WWE champion has to renew ties with the McMahons in the future. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more WWE news and updates!
