"The Last Ship" Season 4 has been picked up by the TNT network immediately after the third season finale to bring back on screen the survivors of USS Nathan James Navy destroyer. However, this season will miss Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane), the ship's commander. Instead, new casts , Jackson Rathbone and Sibylla Deen will get on board for a ride the navy ship.

The captain who is the most famous man in the world after the catastrophe needs a break from being so hard pressed with leadership, with being the fixer of everything for three seasons. There is no hint on where he is going and when he will be returning in "The Last Ship" Season 4.

"The Last Ship" Season 4 will be a season of conspiracies, hidden plots and twists unfolding on screen with time jumps in contrast to the last three seasons, which were mainly focused on hunting.
